Tops, Bottoms and Stands

A full four sets later and everything was fitted to the case - it's taking shape nicely now. The build is getting close to finished already as I make the final pieces for the outer shell. Both the top and the bottom are more or less identical in size, the only difference is in the top, which requires some holes for ventilation.

A bit more milling, cutting, milling and sanding gave me a nice square mesh of holes, but for a better look I added some ACRyan black MeshX under the top ventilation holes.


The last stop on the modding journey is a stand for it all so I could have it Playstation-esq on its side besides the TV, instead of laying it on the floor. Personally, I think it looks better this way.

Two feet were made for this from 6mm thick acrylic, then the ends were heated and bent inwards for a better look and additional stability.


Again some balancing and measuring was needed before the holes were drilled and threaded, then everything was secured in place.
